What you pay them, plus about 30% for taxes and overhead. If it is you, use what an hour of your time is worth — a conservative number you believe beats a generous one.

These are the questions I ask in the Operations Audit, published in full. Answer them honestly on your own and you will find something. What you pay me for is the ranking, the arithmetic, and an outside read on which ones are worth fixing — not the questions.
Walk through a job from the moment it comes in to the moment you get paid.
Every step, including the annoying ones. Where does it live at each step?
What gets typed twice?
Anything entered in one place and re-entered in another.
What fell through?
Not what could. What actually did, in the last ninety days.
What happens when you are unreachable for a day?
Who is blocked, and on what?
What do you pay for monthly that you are not using?
Pull up the card statement while you answer this one. It usually finds real money.
When someone leaves, what leaves with them?
The knowledge nobody wrote down.
What do you keep meaning to fix and never do?
This is usually the actual project.
If one recurring task could be deleted from your week permanently, which one?
Whatever you answered here is where to start.
